Steve Rohr

Steve Rohr is founder and president of Lexicon Public Relations based in Los Angeles. Since 2002, the firm has represented Oscar®, Emmy®, Grammy®, and Tony® Award-winning entertainers as well as a host of notable authors and lifestyle experts. Notably, he served as the Show Publicist for the Academy Awards® from 2015 - 2019. In this role, he spearheaded the worldwide publicity for the telecast, broadcast live in 225 countries and territories. He has been associated with the Oscars® since 2008, when his client, five-time Emmy winner Hal Holbrook was nominated for a Supporting Actor Oscar for “Into the Wild.”

Steve has developed and taught entertainment publicity courses at California State University Long Beach and Loyola Marymount University. Additionally, he’s taught Communication at MiraCosta College, Saddleback College, and Rio Hondo College. He is the co-author of the best-selling “Scared Speechless: 9 Ways to Overcome Your Fears and Captivate Your Audience” (Career Press), which won Foreword Reviews Book of the Year (Self-help) in 2016. As a Communication Expert, he has made over a hundred media appearances (TV, radio, print) across the US, Canada, and UK.

Steve began his career as an unpaid intern for CBS 2 News in Los Angeles.

He graduated with a B.A. in Communication and Political Science from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) and currently serves on the school’s National Alumni Board. Additionally, Steve earned an M.A. in Communication from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ). Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Board for TEDx Fargo, the largest TEDx event in North America and is a member of the Television Academy (Primetime Emmy Voter, LA Area Emmy Voter) and a member of the Publicists Guild.
