Academy Award-winning filmmaker and actress Lisa Blount passed away on October 25, 2010 at her home in Arkansas.  One of her first feature film roles included playing Lynette Pomeroy in An Officer and a Gentleman, for which was nominated for a Golden Globe.  She dedicated a significant amount of her career to producing and starring in meaningful small budget films in collaboration with her husband Ray McKinnon and their producing partner Walton Goggins.  Their film The Accountant garnered an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.  At the time of her death, she had just finished starring in the FX pilot Outlaw Country.  Ms. Blount was as fearless in real life as she was in her award-winning performances. Her charisma, generosity, and wisdom were blessings to all who had the good fortune to know her.
